Specialist Liquidation for E-commerce and FBA Inventory
Managing inventory levels is a critical challenge for online retailers. High storage costs, particularly within Amazon Fulfilment Centres or third-party logistics (3PL) providers, can quickly erode profit margins. We provide a professional solution for businesses in Southampton and across the South Coast needing to clear space and recover capital from stagnant lines.
Our service is designed to handle the specific logistical requirements of the e-commerce sector. We understand that inventory often needs to be moved quickly to avoid recurring monthly storage fees or long-term storage surcharges. We work directly with brands, private label sellers, and distributors to purchase bulk quantities of surplus goods.
Types of E-commerce Stock We Purchase
We buy a broad spectrum of consumer goods typically sold through online marketplaces. Our interest lies in palletised volumes and full container loads rather than individual units.
Typical inventory categories include:
- End-of-Line and Discontinued Products: Items that are being phased out for new model launches or updated packaging.
- Overstock and Slow-Moving Lines: Products that have failed to meet sales velocity targets and are occupying valuable warehouse space.
- Seasonal Overhang: Excess inventory from specific events like Christmas, Black Friday, or summer promotions.
- Amazon FBA Removal Orders: Stock that has been recalled from Amazon warehouses due to high storage fees or account changes.
- Liquidated Company Assets: Inventory from e-commerce businesses that are ceasing operations or undergoing restructuring.
Logistics and Collection from Southampton and the South Coast
Geography is no barrier to our operations. Given our presence in Southampton, we are perfectly positioned to service the busy logistics hubs along the South Coast. We regularly collect from 3PL warehouses, port-side storage facilities, and private industrial units.
Once a deal is agreed, we manage the transport logistics. We can send dedicated vehicles for full loads or smaller rigid trucks for palletised consignments. If your stock is currently held at an FBA centre, we can coordinate the collection once you have initiated the removal order and the stock has arrived at your designated prep centre or warehouse.
Valuing Your E-commerce Surplus
The value of e-commerce stock depends on several factors beyond the original RRP. When assessing a manifest, we look at:
- Condition: We primarily buy brand-new, A-grade stock in original retail packaging. We also consider customer returns (raw or graded) if the volume justifies the processing.
- Volume: Larger batches often allow for better logistics efficiency. We prefer deals ranging from single pallets to multiple forty-foot containers.
- Compliance: We ensure all products meet UK safety standards and labelling requirements.
- Market Saturation: We assess how much of the product is currently active on primary UK marketplaces to determine the best secondary route for resale.
Confidentiality and Brand Protection
We understand that e-commerce sellers are often concerned about market cannibalisation. You do not want your clearance stock appearing on the same platforms where you are still trying to sell full-price inventory.
We operate with total discretion. We can provide Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and discuss specific restrictions on where the stock can be resold. Our secondary market channels are often offline or through non-competing discount retailers, ensuring your primary brand positioning remains intact in the UK market.
The Acquisition Process
Our process is streamlined to ensure you receive payment and clear your warehouse space as quickly as possible.
First, provide a detailed manifest (Excel or CSV). This should include quantities, EANs/SKUs, product descriptions, and the current location of the stock. Clear photography of the outer packaging and the product itself helps us provide a more accurate initial offer.
Following the manifest review, we provide an indicative price. If this is acceptable, we can perform a site visit or request samples for high-value batches. Once the final price is confirmed, we issue the purchase order and arrange collection. Payment is typically made via pro-forma invoice or upon physical receipt and inspection of the goods at our facility.
